Margaret B. Hennessy

Ms. Hennessy assists healthcare organizations to enhance their financial and operational performance and to plan future strategy. With a focus on industry best practices, she works with administration and staff to develop solutions to maximize revenue, reduce expense, and implement successful, sustainable strategies.


Ms. Hennessy has 25 years of experience within the healthcare industry. As a former hospital and clinic administrator, Ms. Hennessy brings hands-on operational experience to consulting with her expertise in financial analysis, program development and evaluation, and operational and strategic planning.  She has successfully worked with clients that have included academic, community-based and critical access hospitals, physician practices, and FQHCs.


As a management consultant, Ms. Hennessy has provided evaluation and implementation assistance for revenue cycle, turnaround, and valuation engagements. She has coordinated strategic planning projects and provided business development expertise for multiple program and organizational initiatives.


Prior to her work as a consultant, Ms. Hennessy held key administrative positions with an academic medical center, a community health center, and a public health department. She served as the Associate Director of Primary Care Services for the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Centers and as the Administrator of Hematology/Oncology at Loyola University Medical Center. She received her Master of Science in Health Systems Management from Rush University in Chicago. Her undergraduate work was completed at St. Norbert College in Wisconsin.
