Mr. Reynolds has over thirty years of experience delivering process improvements to hospitals and clinics. He focuses on improving the quality of patient services and improving financial performance. Specific areas of expertise include clinic operations and benchmarking, lean systems, work redesign and workflow process improvement, customer and employee feedback systems, staffing and scheduling, organizational strategic planning, coordinating organization moves to new facilities, and other industrial and systems engineering applications.
Prior to The Healthcare Operations Group, Mr. Reynolds was the VP for Management Engineering with the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics. He delivered engagements to more than forty departments consistently earning between 3 and 10 times the program expense annually.
With a BS (Industrial Engineering) from the University of Notre Dame and an MS (Industrial & Systems Engineering) from The Ohio State University, Mr. Reynolds has always worked in the healthcare field. He earned his MA (Health Services Administration) from the University of Wisconsin – Madison while serving their hospital system.
A well-known speaker and writer, Mr. Reynolds received the HIMSS National Distinguished Service Award for contributions to the field of Health Systems in 2006. Elected to HIMSS national Board of Directors, Mr. Reynolds served three years on the Board including a term as Vice President. He received the HIMSS Life Fellow designation in 2007.
