Mr. Schumaker is a leader in Supply Chain Transformation practices. A result-driven, broadly experienced supply chain executive, he has implemented over $250 million in supply chain improvements. His experience includes key leadership and operational responsibilities in the manufacturing and service industries in North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific regions.
Mr. Schumaker is experienced in a wide range of supply chain disciplines, including strategic and operational planning, sourcing/procurement, lean manufacturing, and logistics. He led configuration and deployment of SAP, Oracle and Maxis implementations and managed large transformation budgets and teams.
At General Electric, Mr. Schumaker was a corporate program manager for sourcing, where he worked on the identification of global spend, built cross-business unit procurement teams, and designed procurement processes. Recruited by W.R. Grace to be their Director of Supply Chain Integration, Mr. Schumaker led multiple initiatives including spend reduction, logistics services consolidation, and technology acquisition/implementation. At The Hackett Group, he was the Director of Supply Chain Consulting and a leader in the rebuilding of Waste Management’s infrastructure.
Mr. Schumaker earned degrees from Michigan State University in computer science and electrical engineering. While pursuing those degrees, he was recruited by the Marketing Department to write simulation applications for PH.D. candidates in procurement and logistics. With procurement and logistics in his blood, Mr. Schumaker attended Fairfield University, where he earned a master’s in finance.
